Wow, it's been almost 2 1/2 years since my last post. Maybe this can be a quick update. Hopefully more frequent, smaller updates will be easier than lengthy ones with pics.
JJ - our oldest just signed on to be part of his school council. He is also a captain of sorts (at least on defense and in his mind) for his soccer team. His leadership is truly amazing me. I look forward to see where his enthusiasm
will take him in school... not sure I'm ready for him to get older.
Jayden - big boy #2 is athletic as can be. He just can't get enough of being outside, running around, playing ball. Right now he and Lucy are on the same soccer team. It's kinda weird seeing our 7-year old on the same field as our 4-year old. But I think he finds it a challenge to want to play, yet want to be next to his sister to make sure she doesn't get hurt. He has also asked mom to sign him up for flag football. I hope he continues his love of sports. I'm not sure he likes that there's an ambulance at football games, so it may take some coaxing to get him to the next level of football.
Lucy is not sure if she wants to keep being the princess or just one of the boys. She loves to wear dresses, skirts, and carry purses. But she did ask mom to sign her up to play soccer. She does complain a little when Jayden doesn't protect her on the field, but I don't think anybody else thinks she needs protection. We've all seen her protect herself with the boys, so none of us are worried. We did sign her up for a 2nd season of soccer, but this time they'll place her on a team with others her age. I'm excited to see her interact with others her same age.
Bonus - Beeg had a sleepover last weekend for his birthday. JJ and Jayden spent the night, so Lucy enjoyed being an only child for a little bit. Looking forward to ending school so I can spend more time with the Gonzos before they get to big to enjoy this old man's company.
